Sea Captain gone fishing and selling his part of the historic Ghost Town of Claremont to hunters in Big Game Unit 16C, away from it all! Borders National Forest on 3 sides, along the south boundary are two private non-resident landowners. Copper Creek runs much of the year along the property. This is an idyllic mountainous and historic inholding away from civilization and yet only 9 miles from the town of Alma and 18 miles NE of Glenwood, accessed on Forest maintained Road 119. The log house on the property is the old Post Office and Grocery Store from 1883. As early as 1822 the site is reported to have been a mining camp, surviving through the 1880s as a supply center for prospectors, not far as the crow flies from the well-known ghost town of Mogollon.
